EILX FOLD 1500

The EILX can be towed with a Category B or BE driving licence.

For an EILX with a maximum authorised mass (MAM) of 1,000 kg, the combination of towing vehicle and trailer must not exceed a maximum authorised mass of 3,500 kg when driven with a Category B licence.

Alternatively, the EILX can be factory-rated to a maximum authorised mass of 750 kg. In this version, the trailer is classed as a light trailer. It may therefore be towed with a Category B licence even if the sum of the maximum authorised masses of the towing vehicle and trailer exceeds 3,500 kg.

With a Category BE driving licence, both EILX variants can be used irrespective of this 3,500 kg limit, provided the towing vehicle's permitted towing capacities are observed.

Summary:

• EILX 1,000 kg maximum authorised mass → Category B only for combinations up to 3,500 kg.
• EILX 750 kg maximum authorised mass → Category B possible even for combinations over 3,500 kg.
• Category BE → significantly higher trailer weights permitted.

Yes. The EILX FOLD 1000 MAX can optionally be ordered prepared for 100 km/h approval. For this purpose, the trailer is fitted with the required shock absorbers and meets the corresponding requirements for registration.

The 100 km/h sticker is issued by the responsible registration authority once registration has been completed successfully.

The integrated motorcycle wheel chock and optimally positioned lashing points allow the motorcycle to be secured quickly, safely and firmly.

Yes, we offer two options for transporting bicycles or e-bikes with the EILX FOLD 1000 MAX.

Option 1:

The bicycles can be transported directly on the loading platform. This option is possible with one motorcycle and up to two bicycles.

Option 2:

As an option, we offer a frame extension from our accessories range. This increases the usable width by approx. 15 cm on each side, allowing e-bikes to be transported safely alongside two motorcycles.

Please note that this solution is not possible in every configuration for very wide motorcycles, such as a BMW GS.

Yes, the high-quality galvanised finish reliably protects the EILX against weathering and corrosion.

The standard galvanised finish already offers a very high level of protection and is designed for year-round use.

The EILX is also optionally available with a powder coating. This is applied over the galvanised surface and, together with the galvanising, forms what is known as a duplex coating. This further improves corrosion protection and gives the surface a particularly premium appearance.

Thanks to its intelligent folding concept, the EILX requires only a fraction of the parking space of a conventional trailer when stored.

When folded, its dimensions are just approx. 200 cm wide, 85 cm deep and 195 cm high.

When folded, the EILX can be manoeuvred comfortably by hand. Its well-engineered design keeps it safe and stable – no wall or additional fastening is required.
